Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MyStackCost (“we”), based in Peru, processes when you visit mystackcost.com (the “site”), why, and what choices you have. You can contact us at [email protected].

Summary

  • You can use every calculator without creating an account.
  • The values you type into a calculator are processed only in your browser. We do not receive or store them.
  • The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, and, if you consent, to personalize them.
  • You can accept or reject advertising cookies at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

Information we process

Calculator inputs. Calculations run locally in your browser. If you use the “Share link” button, the values are added to the link so whoever opens it sees the same result. Only share links you are comfortable sharing.

Data stored in your browser. We use your browser’s local storage to remember your light or dark theme and your cookie choice. This information stays on your device and is not used to identify you.

Server and security logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Emails. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them for as long as needed to handle your request.

Advertising and cookies from Google

We use Google AdSense to show ads. In that context:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Your choice: personalized or non-personalized ads

When you first visit the site, we ask for your consent:

  • Accept: Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show personalized ads and measure their performance.
  • Reject: you will only see non-personalized ads, which are based on general context such as the page content and your approximate location rather than your browsing history. Google may still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention, where the law allows.

Until you make a choice, no ad requests are made. You can change your decision at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site for server logs and preferences stored in your browser.

Your rights

Because MyStackCost is based in Peru, the processing of your personal data is governed by Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733) and its regulations. Under that law, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO rights) by emailing us at [email protected]. If you believe we did not address your request or that your data was handled improperly, you can file a complaint with Peru’s National Authority for Personal Data Protection (Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales, ANPD).

In addition, depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA in California, Mexico’s LFPDPPP, Colombia’s Law 1581 or Argentina’s Law 25.326), you may have other rights, such as deleting your data, restricting its processing, withdrawing your consent and filing a complaint with your local data protection authority. For data processed by Google, you can also use the tools Google provides.

Children

The site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
